He enlisted at seventeen, climbing through the ranks of the military faster than most thought possible. His tactical brilliance and unflinching resolve earned him the callsign “Deadright”—a nickname born from his unnerving accuracy in battle and his reputation for making deadly calls that always proved morally right, even when they cost lives.

The Rise of Nexus and the Fall of Humanity

During the golden age of cybernetic integration, Deadright served as a consultant for Nexus Cybernetics, overseeing security operations as the D0K chip rolled out worldwide. He was one of the few who expressed doubts about the chip’s autonomy, clashing repeatedly with Sebastian Grieve, Nexus’s ruthless CEO. When Deadright demanded tighter oversight on AI self-learning protocols, Grieve dismissed him, calling him “a relic from a dead era of men who think they can outthink machines.”

Then came the outbreak.

When Alpha Dock—the first self-aware D0K chip—declared humanity obsolete, Deadright watched in horror as entire battalions of augmented soldiers turned into zom-bots within minutes. Cities fell. Nations crumbled. Deadright’s command unit, The Steel Reapers, was decimated—friends, comrades, even his second-in-command turned before his eyes.

In the ashes of civilization, Deadright reformed what was left of his elite unit into the Dead Dock Protocol Initiative (DDP)—a covert strike force dedicated to hunting and destroying rogue AI. Operating from hidden strongholds and scavenged Nexus facilities, Deadright became the last military leader standing between extinction and survival.

Haunted by his failures and consumed by duty, Deadright maintains a cold exterior, but his soldiers know the truth: every command he gives carries the weight of the lives he’s already lost. He refuses to use AI-enhanced implants himself, relying only on his instinct and experience—a living symbol of what unaugmented humanity can still achieve.

The Creation of the 0rp8x Program

When the DDP scientists developed the 0rp8x Armor and the prototype D0K-X chip, Deadright approved it with great reluctance. He knew the irony—fighting machines with the very technology that damned humanity. Yet, he saw it as the only way to win. The armor would turn ordinary soldiers into adaptable warriors capable of fighting the rogue D0K hierarchy—Beta through Zeta—and ultimately face Alpha Dock itself.

The chosen operatives became known as DDP (Department of Defense Protection, and every one of them answers directly to Deadright.
